Co-working Spaces:

Reimagining Childcare

Online Event

We hope that you can join us at TACTYC's next online Webinar in July, with Georgia Norton.

The Webinar is focused on the theme of Co-working Spaces: Reimagining Childcare and will take place online 6-7.30pm on Thursday 2nd July 2026.

Georgia will share insights from auditing 160 settings worldwide where parents work on-site, adjacent to the care and education of their young children. A permeable threshold transforms daily opportunities for stronger partnership between practitioners and families; children’s perception of work; supports neighbourhood service hubs; and improves equity and workforce development.

Georgia reported on the co-location of early years care and education with co-working spaces for parents, a solution accelerated by disruption to work and care during the pandemic, for a think tank. Articles, presenting case studies and developing a peer network followed as she advocates for this dynamic—if still niche—sector. Join her as she shares her experiences.

Anthropocene: Playful Encounters with Nature. Outdoor Play Pedagogy for 2-4 Year Olds

Online Event

TACTYC are delighted to present our May Webinar: ‘Anthropocene: Playful Encounters with Nature. Outdoor Play Pedagogy for 2-4 Year Olds,

with Lisa Goddard and Dr Natalie Shaw.

This session invites educators into a co-created experimental space to explore children’s play in the Anthropocene. Collectively, using practitioner documentation, we will attempt to shift our gaze of children's play towards a common worlding perspective foregrounding more-than-human agencies in play, disrupting anthropocentric paradigms in early childhood education.
